The council recognizes and honours individuals and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to promoting peace and harmony in India. The Sahitya Seva Award Council (SSAC) was established and headquartered in New Delhi, India. The council is committed to the principles of non-violence, tolerance, and respect. Aims to encourage and promote peaceful coexistence among people of different cultures, religions, and beliefs.
Sahitya Seva Award Council (SSAS) was established in 2024 with the primary objective of recognising and honouring exceptional individuals and organisations who have contributed significantly to the nation-building process. The council is a legally registered entity under the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, with certification under Section 80G and 12A of the Income Tax Act, 1961. Additionally, SSAS is registered with NITI Aayog and the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. Recognising the need for heroes and champions who stand up, take action and lead, we identified several challenges affecting our society, ranging from climate change to fundamental rights, racism to discrimination, religious conflicts to child labour and women’s safety and empowerment, etc. To tackle these issues, it requires recognition of the unsung heroes amongst us who have dedicated their lives to finding solutions to these issues, as these individuals and businesses are the driving force behind positive change and their tireless efforts deserve recognition and respect.
